We have a wonderful opportunity to go on a medical mission
trip this summer. Palmetto Medical
Initiative through the Seacoast Church along with the organization Vets With A Mission is sending a mission team to Vietnam from June 20th to July
6th, 2012 to serve the people of Vietnam.
This humanitarian medical mission team will go to two or
three different locations/clinics in the Hue City geographic area, Thua Thien
Hue Province. The team will have a
special Downs Syndrome component while also seeing other patients. The team
leaders are estimating that we will see approximately 200-300 patients a day as
we staff outreach clinics to treat a wide variety of medical conditions.
We are anxious to put our medical training and education
thus far from the Medical University of South Carolina to work in a place that
greatly needs it. This trip seems like the perfect way to combine our passion
for healthcare with our desire to help those in need.
To get there, we need your help! We are responsible for
raising support for ourselves and the total cost of the mission trip is
$3,399.00 per person. This covers airfare, accommodations, food, translators,
and in-country transportation. If you could afford to support us financially, we
would really appreciate it! Any amount, no matter how small, would help and
would be fully tax deductible for you.
